PS3 News: Blu-Ray Pushed Back Further

Blu-Ray Pushed Back Further

According to GamesIndustry.biz, Sony has delayed their Blu-Ray player until October (before that, it was August 15th). Worries are beginning to surface as to why this might be the case and whether or not it could hurt Blu-Ray, the PS3, or both. The new launch date for the standalone player is only a month and a half before the worldwide release of the Playstation 3 and it costs $400 more ($999 retail).

Sony has assured consumers, though, that the delay will not affect the PS3 in any way.
