September 07 NPD: Software Sales

Just as is the case with the hardware numbers, did you expect anything else from software sales? Halo 3 catapulted onto the charts with a total of three SKUs, all of which added up to a monumental 3.3 million in sales! The second best game, Wii Play, trailed in the far, far....far distance with 282k games sold. Madden continues to sell well into September, as the PS2 version sold 205k units, and the X360 version sold 173k. Sony's Heavenly Sword suffered, as bad worth of mouth seems to have hurt sales considerably.
