PS3 News: Naughty Dog: Uncharted Is Golden

Naughty Dog: Uncharted Is Golden

It wasn't long ago when Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells posted at the official PlayStation blog that their upcoming title, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, was into beta testing. At the time, Wells said that just about everything is in the game, and the team was simply "chasing down the last bugs and making a few minor balancing tweaks here and there."

Well, looks like that process went smoothly. Yesterday, Naughty Dog basically confirmed the anticipated action/adventure title would hit its scheduled release date of November 20. This time, it was AI programmer Christian Gyrling, and the post was pretty darn straightforward: they're done. In fact, the game secretly went gold last week!

"We went 'gold' last week," wrote Gyrling. "Right now the game is in other words 100 percent done and is currently going through the approval process."

Sweet! These guys have managed to put out some stellar franchises in the past, and that includes the likes of Jak and Daxter and Crash Bandicoot. Therefore, we have complete faith in them, and we're very excited to see how Uncharted turns out. This one looks to have it all: gun battles, daredevil stunt jumps, a cool story, and a lot of beautiful visuals and animations. When we get our hands on it, we'll be happy campers.
