Assassin's Creed Golden For November

Well, that's a relief. At least we know Assassin's Creed isn't among the four Ubisoft titles getting delayed until 2008. We didn't really think it would be, but now we know for certain: today, the publisher has announced that this highly anticipated action/adventure blockbuster has officially gone gold.

The U.S. release date is solidified as November 13 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The standard version will retail for the expected price of $59.99 and the special Limited Edition will cost you $10 more, but there is one other little bonus: if you pre-order the game at GameStop, you will receive an exclusive Assassin's Creed art book when you pick up your copy. This will definitely be one of the biggest titles of the holiday season, and we can't wait to see if the game lives up to all those awesome video previews.

"We've been working very hard for nearly four years to make Assassin's Creed a reality and now there is a confirmed date when players will get to experience the results of our efforts, said Jade Raymond, producer of Assassin's Creed. "This is a huge event for the team. Our biggest reward will be everyone having a lot of good solid fun.

Just as a sidebar- does anyone ever interview anybody besides Raymond for this game? Not that we're complaining or anything, but damn...once the industry gets hold of a new gamer girl darling, it's like a mini-explosion. Anywho, the last bit of news we have is that PC players will have to wait until 2008 to play Assassin's Creed. Everyone else, get ready for a definite gem next month!
