GameSpot Prepping Resistance Tournament

Think you've had enough time with Resistance: Fall of Man? Think you're bad-ass enough to take on the best of the best? Then sign up for GameSpot's Humanity's Last Hope tournament! The tournament is open to all registered users, and until 11 a.m. Pacific time, gamers who sign up for a free account can enter the 128-team tournament for this fantastic FPS. There will be 10 players per team and the tournament will be played out in Assault mode (perhaps an interesting choice).

This is the big time, ladies and gents. If you can make it as far as the finals, your exploits will be broadcast live on Tournament TV on November 9 at 4 p.m. Pacific. What will you be playing for? Well, the winning team will receive a Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront Entertainment pack, which features a sleek Ceramic White PSP Slim (complete with a silk-screened Darth Vader decoration) and a copy of Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron. But that's not all- those 10 winners will get a $100 gift certificate to SonyStyle.com, an annual GameSpot Total Access subscription, and an official Resistance: Fall of Man jacket. The runner-ups certainly won't walk away empty-handed, either, as they'll pick up free copies of Heavenly Sword and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, plus that Total Access subscription and Resistance jacket.

You have to be a registered GameSpot user, be at least 17 years of age, and of course, be a resident of either the US or Canada. If you're interested, go ahead and visit the Humanity's Last Hope tournament page to register. Bring it on, fellow defenders of earth!
