40GB PlayStation 3 to Featured Revised Motherboard?

An image of the PlayStation 3's all new motherboard has surfaced courtesy of tech-blog Engadget. The biggest difference between this motherboard and the one currently in most other American PS3s is a vacat spot on the bottom left. That spot to the bottom left was there the PlayStation 2's Emotion Engine and Graphics Synthesizer were on the PS3's mobo.

Now, on the murmured side of things, claims are being made that this mobo features a 65nm sized version of the Cell. Additionally, this motherboard uses less power, 135 Watts, down from the previous 200. It's also claimed to run cooler and quieter, and features a smaller heat pipe. None of this is verified and will require some more concrete tinkering in order to confirm, so stay posted for that.

Getting Twisted Metal on Valentine's Day?
Yep, I can't wait!
I'll get it, but not until later.
I'll have to wait for the reviews.
This just isn't my cup of tea.
