Harmonix Addresses Rock Band PS3 Issues
Critics are loving Rock Band, and we imagine the praise is for a darn good reason. However, there has been some consumer backlash for the PS3 version of the game, and Harmonix has been good enough to respond.
Evidently, some gamers have reported a lack of compatibility with Guitar Hero guitars (a feature we almost couldn't believe in the first place), and a lot of people remain upset that there are no standalone instruments out there. In other words, if you want the full experience, you just have to buy the full Rock Band package at $169.99, and that's an intimidating price tag. But Harmonix released an official statement to the press, saying they're aware of any and all issues, and are currently working through them:
"Some of you have contacted us about the PS3 edition of Rock Band - from issues with guitar compatibility to frustration that stand-alone guitars and drums for Rock Band have not yet hit stores."
"Please know that these issues have our full attention. We are listening and we read everything that is posted on our forums. We are committed to providing the best play experience possible and working hard to ensure that we solve these problems as soon as possible. We promise to keep you updated and, in the meantime, we thank you for your patience."
They also said the problems with any new guitar peripherals have been "identified and fixed," so you needn't worry about that anymore. If you're having an issue with your guitar, visit the Rock Band official website to arrange a replacement. We'll provide you with any updates as soon as they become available.
