Sony Mag Editor Publicly Denounces PS3

The "Internets" are buzzing today over a blog post made by Dana Jongewaard, managing editor for Official PlayStation Magazine, in which she professes disdain for the price of Sony's upcoming PlayStation 3 console and proclaims that she'll be buying an Xbox 360 instead this fall.

"When I know that a console's direct competitors cost two-thirds or half of that price, it becomes harder for me to justify shelling out that kind of money," Jongewaard states, "especially when I can probably get the Wii and the 360 combined for the cost of a PS3."

Although this is a sentiment many gamers share, it's quite shocking to see it voiced by the managing editor for Sony's officially sanctioned magazine.
