Ubisoft: Haze Scheduled For August 2008

We hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but it seems Haze has hit another major delay, and this one is going to disappoint a whole lot of FPS fans out there.

There had been positive and encouraging rumors circulating regarding the game's possible release date in the UK, which reportedly was January 18. While the atmospheric shooter wouldn't make it for 2007 - as we already knew - we'd still get it first thing in 2008, so that was cause for celebration. However, Ubisoft themselves have dealt this rumor a powerful blow and lowered the boom on Haze followers who were hoping for an early-2008 release. In looking at their very own online store, the game has been slapped with an August 2008 estimated release. Yeah, that's definitely a lot further back than we had anticipated, so we're not too happy about it.

On the other hand, we do have plenty of games coming out between now and then to keep us occupied. January and February appear to be abnormally packed with high-profile titles (Devil May Cry 4, Burnout Paradise, etc.), so we'll still have plenty to play. ...we dislike big delays, though. And August 2008 can definitely be classified as "big."
