Sega Reveals New Characters for Superstars Tennis!

Okay, a month back we brought you guys a preview of Sega Superstars Tennis. Clearly, in a game like that, we were extremely curious as to what characters will make their way into the product. We knew Sonic the Hedgehog, Dr. Robotnik/Eggman (Sonic games), Amy Rose (Sonic games), AiAi (Monkey Ball), Ulala (Space Channel 5), and Amigo (Samba De Amigo) were shoe-ins.

Well, I had made a few predictions following the confirmed list, and Nights was one of them - I was on the money with that one. Sega has revealed that Nights is indeed a playable character in SST, and he will, indeed, float around the court. Now, the other character revealed is one I would've never guessed - it's Beat, the main character from the Jet Set Radio (Jet Grind Radio in the US) games released on the Dreamcast and Xbox. He appears in SST sporting gear from the first Jet Set game.

The cool thing about each character's presence is they bring with them their respective stages. Nights' stage will be from his Nintendo Wii outing, and Beat's stage will be Shibuya-cho, of Tokyo-to from the original Jet Set game. Shibuya-cho was the first stage of the game, if anybody recalls. Check out the image of Nights and Beat squaring off. There will be more to come in the screenshots section.
