Soul Calibur IV: Vader For PS3, Yoda For 360
These days, it's often difficult to choose which version of a multiplatform game to purchase. So many times, each version is nigh-on identical to each other, and the differences are usually minor or even trivial. Well, how's about offering up one major difference to sway a consumer's decision?
Namco is doing just that with Soul Calibur IV. "Star Wars" icons Darth Vader and Yoda recently made guest appearances in the game, and as it turns out, there is a nifty little catch to the unveiling. Darth Vader will only be in the PlayStation 3 version of the game, while Yoda will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 version! Perhaps unfortunately, ultimate good could never battle ultimate evil (unless Namco decides to make the characters available via download), but that's okay. Considering both versions will probably be very similar, perhaps this will help you make your decision when the time comes. You a Darth man or a Yoda fan?
Now, this is the type of thing more developers need to do with their multiplatform titles. It shakes things up a bit and gives anxious consumers a whole new reason to be excited. ...but how do we pick between Darth Vader and Yoda? Maybe Namco didn't make this any easier, after all!
