Bionic Commando Remake For PSN, Marketplace

By now, you're probably well aware of the new next-gen Bionic Commando, but Capcom has another surprise in store for veteran gamers who remember the swingin' kick-ass platformer.

According to Famitsu, Capcom will be releasing a remake of the original classic for both the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace. It's dubbed Bionic Commando: Master D Revival Plan, and it well boast fresh, updated 3D graphics, a simultaneous two-player mode, and even some secret never-before-seen areas! Of course, the foundation will be intact: a side-scrolling 2D action/platformer that focuses on the "bionic" arm of the character; he can swing and grapple through the environment. It's the same concept we'll see in the next-gen iteration, although that one will be all modern and stuff. We likes the old-school classics!

Capcom didn't reveal a price for this, but they did say it would arrive in Japan some time this Spring. We also assume the game will hit both the Store and Marketplace at the same time, but we can't be certain... As soon as the finalized details are confirmed, we'll be sure to let you know.
