PS3 News: Street Fighter IV Playable In Japan Next Month

Street Fighter IV Playable In Japan Next Month

We've seen plenty of screenshots and even a few teaser videos, but the game has yet to be made playable for the gaming public. But if you just so happen to be in Japan next month - rather than in Europe for the Game Developers Conference - you might want to pop over to the AOU 2008 Amusement Expo at the Makuhari Messe outside Tokyo.

If you do, you'll be one of the very first to lay their hands on Street Fighter IV, the hotly anticipated fighter that has fans of the genre salivating. According to the game's official Japanese blog, project manager Natsuki Shiozawa has announced the game will be available for play to industry members at the Expo on February 15. The day after, regular attendees will be able to sample the SFIV goodness! See, now all they need to do is throw that same demo up onto the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace, and everyone across the world will be happy.

If we hear anything about this, we'll be sure to let you know, and you can bet your bottom dollar we'll be ready to give you a hands-on preview. In the meantime, it's just good to know that Street Fighter IV will finally arrive somewhere in playable form. Yay!
