3D Realms "Polishing" Duke Nukem Forever
Well, just because the game appears to be coming to next-gen consoles - 3D Realms' CEO Scott Miller said they would have a multi-platform release "if possible" - we gotta cover all new Duke Nukem Forever details. And the latest...well, we think we've heard the latest before, but we're hoping it's different this time around.
According to CVG, 3D Realms now says the game is currently in the polishing mode, which should indicate the title is finally in the last phases of development. Forever's art director Tramell Isaac said they're "polishing set pieces, environments, and characters" and he also said a recent trailer really did depict in-game footage of the highly anticipated FPS. The feedback the team received from this trailer was excellent, so that kinda buoyed their spirits a bit:
"The majority of the feedback was positive, which was great. The more critical responses were helpful as well because we have time to make adjustments," said Isaac.
Well, all I can say is that I remember working at EB and joking around about Duke Nukem Forever, wondering with my fellow employees and even the customers about when it might arrive. ...that was in back in 1999. So let's hope they really are nearing completion this time. It must be real! Now, all they need to do is confirm the title really is coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360...
