More Evidence For Guitar Hero IV In 2008
An earlier rumor stated that Guitar Hero IV would actually arrive in 2008, and the latest evidence supports that claim.
According to Eurogamer, an "unlikely press release" from British band "The Answer" may have inadvertently confirmed the release of the next Guitar Hero for the end of this year. The band's song, "Never Too Late," will be featured in the new game's song lineup. It seems Activision selected 20 songs out of the 200 that were submitted by music companies at the huge Marché international de l'édition musicale (or Midem conference), which was held at the end of last month. Those special 20 will be included in Guitar Hero IV, and The Answer is fittingly excited, considering this should point towards much bigger album sales.
"This is a tremendous honour and privilege for both The Answer and the Alberts label," said James Cassidy, UK boss of music label Alberts. "With a new album due later this year we look forward to taking the band to a whole new level of international success."
Activision UK would offer no comment on the issue, but it's even more likely now that Guitar Hero IV will actually arrive in 2008. We'll keep checking about for more info, that's for sure.
