More Evidence For Guitar Hero IV In 2008

An earlier rumor stated that Guitar Hero IV would actually arrive in 2008, and the latest evidence supports that claim.

According to Eurogamer, an "unlikely press release" from British band "The Answer" may have inadvertently confirmed the release of the next Guitar Hero for the end of this year. The band's song, "Never Too Late," will be featured in the new game's song lineup. It seems Activision selected 20 songs out of the 200 that were submitted by music companies at the huge Marché international de l'édition musicale (or Midem conference), which was held at the end of last month. Those special 20 will be included in Guitar Hero IV, and The Answer is fittingly excited, considering this should point towards much bigger album sales.

"This is a tremendous honour and privilege for both The Answer and the Alberts label," said James Cassidy, UK boss of music label Alberts. "With a new album due later this year we look forward to taking the band to a whole new level of international success."

Activision UK would offer no comment on the issue, but it's even more likely now that Guitar Hero IV will actually arrive in 2008. We'll keep checking about for more info, that's for sure.

I strongly disagree. I'm not really a big gamer, but GH is one of the few games that keeps me coming back from time to time.

And a great game continues its tailspin into the all good rhythm games have fallen. The final resting places of both DDR and Kareoke Revolution. Fairly soon activision will learn that gamers don't like paying 60 dollars every year for new songs. Make cheaper expansions or something that gamers can buy for between 20 and 30 dollars.

to be honest, i don't even know how Guitar Hero can even compete with Rock Band at this point: if you played or owned the latter, the difference is just like night and day (not to mention the flood of cheaper DLC already available).

ah who am i kidding? whatever Activision craps out next is gonna sell like hotcakes anyway

Why is there evidence for Guitar Hero IV they already said that they were making it? And would it really be that big of a deal for it to come out in 2008, all they have to do is dump in some more songs and customizing stuff, pass GO and collect $200,000,000.
Now Resistance 2 that will be an accomplishment if it comes out in 2008, which it will.

You are right only in that yes those are real games. But oh so wrong in that Guitar Hero is an amazing game. The problem is that they keep pushing these out every year without making any improvements while Rock Band is a much much better game.
