Breaking News: 3D Realms Confirms Duke Nukem Forever For 2008
Whoa...could this really be happening?
According to the Dallas Business Journal, 3D Realms has confirmed - yes, confirmed - that the looooooong-awaited FPS, Duke Nukem Forever, will hit retail store shelves "in late 2008," and will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Well, 3D Realms president Scott Miller reminds us the team hasn't "formally announced any platforms" for the hotly anticipated game, but he added that "hitting the big three makes the most sense." But that's not the amazing part; the amazing part is in the quote below-
"We may miss the mark by a month or two, but I feel very confident that we're on target this time."
This time. Well damn, we hope so! We've been waiting for quite a while, and if DNF makes it onto the already-impressive 2008 release list, than we're appropriately excited. Miller also confirmed that Duke Nukem 3D would be released on the Xbox Live Arcade, and it will boast online multiplayer support, achievements, scoreboards, and even a co-op mode.
"We're really excited about bringing classic Duke to the 360," said Miller during an interview. "We're talking to Microsoft about getting a release slot sometime this year."
As a reminder of the source, all this information is set to appear in this month's issue of the Dallas Business Journal, which will become available on February 15. We honestly never believed this day would come, but Miller did leave room for yet another delay...let's just hope they really are on target "this time."

This will open the door to all the other vaporous items out there. What next? A Phantom in every home?
I can't take the insanity anymore!
This madness must cease!

But if this is possibly true how many people still care? I can't believe this game will be any good. In fact I'd say that a majority of the gamers out there will be upset to see this joke of the gaming industry finally end. I know i'll be sad.
