When we saw this news, we immediately started to wonder: how come we've never been able to play as Darth Vader in any Star Wars game before? Just how many big-time fans would love the opportunity to play as one of the single most popular villains in all of movie history? Well, they're going to get their chance with the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

According to CVG and Vanity Fair, you will assume the role of Vader during the first level of the game, where you take part in a Jedi-hunting expedition on planet Kashyyyk. There, the black-masked man with the red light saber will have to use all his abilities to battle Wookiees. One snippet from the article says-

"Then, pushing another button, he hurls that energy at the furry, fanged Wookiees. A bunch of them go flying off into space, causing the D.M.M.-enabled bridge to start rippling like a water bed. This sends more Euphoria-infused Wookiees toppling over the sides while those that remain struggle to regain their balance."

There's no doubt the "Star Wars" fans had already planned to pick up this game, but now, the appeal has skyrocketed to a whole new level. We don't expect to be playing as Vader for very long, but even if it's only for a little while, it ought to be awesome!
