Spore May Be A Possibility For PS3 And 360
In this day and age of multiplatform titles, when seemingly every game could end up on every platform, the rumors regarding big-name exclusives heading to different systems are numerous. The latest one centers on one of the biggest PC titles of 2008: Spore; a game also confirmed for the Mac, Wii and DS.
According to the game's producer, Thomas Vu, there is the possibility that we may see the intriguing game on both the PS3 and Xbox 360. Remember, EA is handling the publishing for this one, and whenever that happens, it seems a multi-platform release is never entirely out of the question. As for the effort required to port Spore to Sony's and Microsoft's consoles, Vu had this to say-
"There's lots of technical hurdles we have to think about before we can say, 'Okay, we can do this or not'. But we're always looking at and thinking about these issues." Later, he added: "Yeah, of course we'd love to do it, but at the same time we don't know." (source-CVG)
Spore is due out this September, and honestly, we see no reason why it couldn't arrive on the PS3 and 360. If it can be made for the Wii... We'll keep you up-to-date regarding any developments.
