European PlayStation 3 Bundle Includes Uncharted And Sigma

We know consumers around the world are always looking for the next great PS3 bundle deal, and it seems UK online retailer Play.com has come up with a nice one.

Here's their package deal, and you European gamers have a great opportunity to land Sony's next-gen console. For the very reasonable price of GBP 299.99, you can pick up the 40GB PS3 with both Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and as an added bonus, shipping is free. You're looking at two of the best games on the PlayStation 3 - Uncharted was co-winner of our Game of the Year Award last year - so it makes the deal even better. Action aficionados can't possibly miss out on Sigma, which is the best version of the original Xbox title that came out several years back. Two must-have games and the PS3 for that price? C'mon, how can you go wrong?

We're still waiting to hear about that rumored 120GB PS3, but until the official announcement comes, we'll be on the lookout for special deals like this one.

I don't know if it is a good deal. 299GBP = 589$ i dont know how that is a good deal, i know the dollar went down a lot. oh ya and no PS2 games!! i think sony is making some pretty bad decisions

K Phantom, for that price its a good deal in the UK. On Amazon.co.uk it costs 280GBP for a PS3 right now (40GB, on sale, orig. 299GBP). NGS is 30GBP and uncharted is 35 GBP. So they save 45 to 65 GBP. Sure it's a rip off compared to places like North America. But, lest we forget, the UK will still buy Sony.

As for PS2 compat., I really doubt theres anyone in the UK that doesn't have/still use/still love their PS2.

Also this looks more like a promotion from this site rather than a Sony Bundle.

Had a friend who foolishly threw our friendship away because of his attitude torwards Sony and PS3. A total xbox360 fanboy, always going off how the PS3 and PSP are worthless junk, and overpriced, etc, and how his xbox360 is so superior in every shape and form. Sadly, in reply about everyone in the UK having a PS2, I believe he sold his for a 360. Everytime I see something about a UK offer I wonder to myself if he ever pulled his head out of his hole. And yeah, to me here in the US, that price is high, but then the cost of most everything in the UK is higher than the US.

With my UK gamer head on that is a decent price. I'm choosing to block out the price comparison to other regions otherwise I might just cry a little. :)

lol, talked to a friend of mine in the UK, and he agrees this price is really great. Again, something as simple as a cup of coffee can run you the value of $10 USD or more! Europe also pays like twice as much for gas. US dollar value is low, and it's a completely different economy. As I was told a camera here that costed him 300 GBP (say $600) would be GBP 500 (say $1000) back home in the UK. Anyway, hope this sale goes well!
