Over 100 More Confirmed Titles For PS3

So far, 2008 has been a darn good year for the PlayStation 3, which is in heavy contrast to the start of last year. Sales are climbing, the hardware is more affordable, Blu-Ray has basically sealed up a complete victory, and there are several top-notch titles available for the system...with many more to come. How many more? Well, according to the latest publisher list of confirmed PS3 titles, over 100 more!

According to this list found at Sl!ce Gaming, 102 games are are on tap for Sony's next-gen system. Obviously, there will be even more in the future, but for now, this impressive list should satisfy any PS3 owner. You'll notice most of the big-name titles, like Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Biohazard 5 (which is Resident Evil 5 in North America), Square-Enix's Final Fantasy (probably encompasses Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII), etc. But there are other notable inclusions that remain a mystery, like an "Untitled Action" and "Untitled RPG" from Konami, another "Untitled RPG" from Namco, and an "Untitled Action/Adventure" from Tecmo. Oddly enough, we don't see Gran Turismo 5 on the list, but then again, nothing about these 100+ games is exactly official.

Even so, it's a look down the road at what the PS3 is going to offer, and as gamers, that's where our primary interests lie. And besides, it's always fun to speculate on those mystery titles!
