GDC 2008: Resident Evil 5 Playable?
Capcom has been a bunch of busy little bees lately, haven't they? Devil May Cry 4 was a huge hit a few weeks ago, and the PS3 remake of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is shaping up nicely and scheduled to arrive next week. But perhaps best of all, the latest rumor says one of the publisher's most anticipated 2008 titles might actually be playable at this week's Game Developers Conference!
This rumor comes courtesy of TheBitBag, and it's pretty simple- both Resident Evil 5 and Super Street Fighter II HD might be on display in playable form within the next few days at GDC 2008. However, Capcom hasn't announced any such thing; in fact, they're not even listed as an exhibitor at the show. Perhaps the games will pop up in Sony and Microsoft's kiosks at some point, but we really don't know for sure. We've been waiting to see an early gameplay build of RE5 ever since it was revealed, and we figure the GDC would be a perfect unveiling platform. We're also interested in Super Street Fighter II HD, just because that legendary title will always deserve our attention...especially when we're talking about a high-definition remake.
If either of these titles pop up at the show, we'll be sure to let you know immediately. And if they do make an appearance, stay tuned for any available screenshots and videos!
