FFXIII Demo Packaged With Last Remnant?

Without any doubt, Final Fantasy XIII is one of the most anticipated PS3 titles, and hopefully, it will arrive this year. Even better, Square-Enix's Tetsuya Nomura recently confirmed that a FFXIII demo is on the way, although we're not sure when it will arrive. We also don't know how this demo might be provided to the gaming public; via the PlayStation Store or standalone disc, perhaps?

Well, Square Union has analyzed the situation - they went pretty in-depth, too - and they've predicted that the FFXIII demo will be packaged in with Square-Enix's upcoming multiplatform RPG, The Last Remnant. Now, this is nothing more than speculation, but if you take the company's history into account, it's a fair assumption. Furthermore, we really haven't seen much of anything on the PlayStation Network from S-E, and it would make sense to find a FFXIII demo in a similar-styled game from the same publisher. The only question we have is, why include a demo for a PS3 exclusive with a game that will be available on the Xbox 360? Would this imply FFXIII might also arrive for the 360...? That's highly unlikely, considering what we've heard in the past from Square-Enix themselves.

Either way, though, any news concerning a FFXIII demo is good news, as far as we're concerned. Hopefully, the future format of this demo will be confirmed, and then we can officially start to salivate.

That would be completely awesome! But when is The Last Remnant coming out o_O Eitherway, down with the 360 version ^^

The last remnant looks cool, the FFXIII demo would be a great addition.

If there's going to be a demo on the game, it'll probably on the PS3 version only, and this would provoke people such as myself who own both consoles to do the obvious... Buy the PS3 version!

A demo on the playstation network though would probably make more sense to reach a larger audience. Considering SquareEnix has yet to make an actual debut onto the PS3, but it's coming soon. I say the PSN would make more sense, but on the game, I'd say on the PS3 version only.

I agree with ya, they definitly should show their faces on the PSN. They already are known on the 360 with Lost Odyssey...altho I'm not even gonna put that game in the same league as FFXIII XD

Square-Enix probably isn't going to do that. The last time they put a demo in a game to help push sales, it didn't work (I believe the most recent was FFX-2 in Unlimited SaGa).

Actually, they put a FFXII demo in with Dragon Quest VIII, remember? ...I think that went over pretty well. ;)

I think they will do PS Store and Last Remnant game. But only the PS3 version of the game.
