PS3 News: Lip-Synch Voice Chat For LittleBigPlanet

Lip-Synch Voice Chat For LittleBigPlanet

With all the rumors flying around about PlayStation Home supposedly launching very soon, everyone is searching high and low for more LittleBigPlanet details. Remember, the game was unveiled right along with Home at last year's E3, just because it shows off the online service's very encouraging possibilities.

Well, the latest info on the promising platformer focuses on a very advanced form of technology: lip-synch voice chat! According to the latest edition of Edge magazine, in addition to the many emotions for each character, lip-synch voice chat is also planned. Basically, this means those cute little characters on screen will actually move their mouths in the same way you do when speaking...well, that's one speculation via PS3Fanboy, anyway. Supposedly, we can also expect voice filters and other features for the game, which puts a heavy emphasis on multiplayer communication and cooperation. Lip-syched voice chat is definitely a cool move, no doubt about it.

Hopefully, we'll be hearing more about LittleBigPlanet some time soon. This is most likely to happen at about the same time more Home info is revealed, so we'll keep our eyes open.
