Call Of Duty 4 PS3 Patch Revealed

Ask anybody: the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare online experience is simply stellar, from top to bottom. However, improvements can always be made, and according to PSU, a patch is coming for the PlayStation 3 version of the game that will make several significant enhancements.

Infinity Ward's Community Relations Manager Robert Bowling lifted the lid on the upcoming patch, which will include the following list of features:

  • Optimized servers
  • New Kill cams (grenades, RPG's, airstrikes, claymores, and more)
  • Quick Mute (allows user to mute annoying players by pressing X on their gamertag in the lobby)
  • Addition of "Recently Met Players" for the PlayStation Network
  • Improvements to the Sniper Rifles and Acog attachments (no more delayed shots)

Bowling says the new kill cameras will actually let a player watch his own spectacular demise; the example was given concerning a grenade leaving an enemy's hand, and watching the whole way as it eventually kicks your ass. Infinity Ward has evidently made other improvements, as PS3 online players can expect faster servers, which has been a common complaint as of late. The patch is "coming soon," and we'll be sure to let you know when it becomes available.

I just Began to play this game a few weeks ago and right of the bat I found several things that I became very disappointed with when it comes to this game and the over all online aspect of the PS3. One being the fact that people that use glitches or hacks still aren't being punished. the Color glitch or hack or what ever one may call it. its very frustrating when your on one side and someone with a green name is on the other side and he ends up getting 3/4 of his kills because people assume that player is on their side.
there are several other little things.

On too this patch I'm not sure really what too expect once its released I just hope that the sniping will improve. I hate the aspect of pressing the R3 to steady your shot mainly when your crouched and mainly when your prone. I think there should be ways to lean and when near something you can brace yourself against it to stead your shot.

Time will tell how much improvement comes from this patch.

Also how does one go about becomeing a beta tester for games? I have looked and looked but have had no luck.
