Bionic Commando PS3 Boasts Trophies
Bionic CommandoWe've been wondering when the PS3 will get an Achievement system similar to the one found on the Xbox 360, and Sony has promised it's on the way. In fact, they've implied it will be bigger and better than the 360's Achievements, and the PS3's method of awarding special achievement will be well worth the wait.
More evidence of this method may have arrived today, when Ben Judd, producer for the next-gen installment of Bionic Commando, revealed that the PS3 version of the game will include its own reward system, called "Trophies." (source-PSU) We're not quite sure if these are limited to this game only, or if the Trophies are the all-encompassing Achievement-like program that Sony has planned for PS3 users. But if you're familiar with the 360's Achievements, you know you often have to go above and beyond to get them, and that's what you'll have to do in Bionic Commando. You know, perform a zip-kick with the grappling hook, defeat a group of enemies in a certain time frame, etc.
Along with the In-Game XMB rumor, this is probably the most popular rumor out there, so we're always looking for more info. We'd like to think this news implies the PS3 system of rewards is on the way, so let's hope it hits some time soon...
