PS3 News: Sega Reveals Aliens: Colonial Marines

Sega Reveals Aliens: Colonial Marines

Today, Sega has officially revealed Aliens: Colonial Marines for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Scheduled to arrive later this year, the game will let players take control of a US Colonial Marine squad member who - not surprisingly - is forced to do battle with a horde of invading aliens. Those of you who are fans of the movies will be happy to know that the game's story "will retain the atmospheric look and feel of the original films while leveraging next-generation technology to create an entirely new interactive Aliens experience." We'll have familiar weapons (pulse rifle, baby!), a squad-based shooter setup, and uber-detailed levels.

Colonial Marines will also boast an appealing four-player co-op mode, with each person taking a significant role in the squad. More multiplayer details will be revealed later, but for now, we're just happy to see another Aliens game. Ironically enough, one of the best of the bunch was Alien vs. Predator back on the doomed Jaguar, so we're really overdue for another great alien-based title. Don't let us down, Sega!
