EA Makes Website for Take-Two Buyout
Have you ever watched your friend desperately try to win over the heart of some girl, maybe by making her a mix CD, writing her a poem, giving her flowers, paying for her meals? Of course you have! We've all either had a friend do that, or foolishly done it ourselves, all to no avail. It's pathetic to witness and more pathetic to experience, but you can't really blame the guy if the girl is really smokin' - hormones are hormones. So, after being rejected by Take-Two twice (in this equation, Take-Two is the smokin' girl), Electronic Arts (your friend who can't take a hint) has put together a website specifically detailing why them buying out Take-Two is a good idea. Think of the website as a love poem or love letter; that last bit of desperation that scares off the hottie for good.
The website, simply EATake2.com, is full of hyperbolic content on why Take-Two is better off in the hands of EA. The content, as you can guess, is much of the same stuff we've already seen discussed between executives from both EA and Take-Two. And to be perfectly honest, the website gives me the creeps, as it reeks of desperation. I enjoy the EA brand of products as much as the next guy, but putting together this website and blasting it publicly makes them seem unusually desperate.
Have a look for yourself. The site will feature the recorded conference call with EA CEO John Riccitiello, and currently features a transcript that you can read, among an FAQ, with more materials to come.

Come on EA....If Take 2 wants until after the release of GTAIV to talk, then give them the time. Unless your plans have something to do with that....

Ew, and I just read Pandemic sold out to EA? Sad, I remember being in the closed beta for Dark Reign 2, and having tournaments with the developers. Too bad!
