EA Announces NFL Head Coach 09 for PS3

If coaching sims are your thing, then EA's got your covered for 2008. The Head Coach namesake returns for a 2009 iteration, as EA has officially announced NFL Head Coach 09. The lucky (or perhaps, unlucky) star to grace the cover of this iteration is non-other than Indianapolis Colts' head coach Tony Dungy.

“In NFL Head Coach 09, the gamer has complete control of their franchise’s destiny,” says NFL Head Coach 09 Executive Producer Jeremy Strauser. “From draft day to game day, the gamers’ decisions impact their team’s success and make or break a team’s road to the Super Bowl.”

Dungy, as many NFL fans should know, is first ever African-American coach to win a Super Bowl last year when the Colts triumphed over the Bears (daaaaaa Bearsss) 29-17 in SuperBowl XLI. The colts have long been one of the fiercest teams in the NFL, and much of that has been credited to Dungy's arrival back in 2001.

As far as Head Coach 09, expect it a robust career mode that gives you the freedom to control your franchise as you wish. You'll be able to scout your opponents, assemble playbooks, control the franchise on and off the field, in addition to in-season and off-season, and much more. Look for NFL Head Coach 09 to launch this Summer.

Hey psx and to whoever reads this. Of course we all know of the EA/Madden curse, but Am I the only one to realize that 2k sports is the exact opposite. Look at the past covers of their sports titles. The last installment of their football franchise T.O. Graced the cover in an Eagles jersey and he's doin pretty great. Look at the past 2k nba covers. Shaq, & Ben wallace each won championships. And even the current cover Chris paul of the hornets. When that was 1st announced I was thinkin hey there are so many better choices, but look at him this year he's a MVP candidate. Thought I would just bring it up. Would love to hear some feedback.
