Street Fighter IV NOT PS3 Exclusive
Some rumors just need to be crushed before they gain too much steam, primarily because gamers tend to be a little jumpy when it comes to speculation.
You may have heard of the following rumor already; it started on several French gaming sites and quickly made its way all across the world via that nifty Internet: Street Fighter IV is said to be a PS3 exclusive, and even more intriguing, it would release on June 12, the exact same day as Konami's impending blockbuster, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. While this is indeed an exciting possibility, SPOnG has the official word from Capcom, and it's pretty clear- "We haven't even announced any home console versions for the game yet." Obviously, it would be difficult to say the game is a PS3 exclusive if the preceding is true...and it is. As good as we're all hoping SFIV will be, we really don't believe it will be exclusive to any one platform.
Remember, while Capcom started off this generation by producing several Xbox 360-exclusive titles (Dead Rising, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, etc.), that trend has changed. Capcom has already brought the latter game to the PS3, and Resident Evil 5 will likely be multiplatform as well. Therefore, we're going to assume Street Fighter IV will be scheduled for both the PS3 and 360, but that's only speculation at this time. ...and you know what happens when we speculate!
