PS3 News: Dark Sector is Complete, Hits Gold

Dark Sector is Complete, Hits Gold

It's been quite a wait for Digital Extremes' newest title, as Dark Sector has been closely followed by the eyes of many gamers. After a series of delays, in order to optimize the game so that it runs at its peak performance, D3 has announced that the game has gone gold and is ready to hit the manufacturing plant where it'll be pressed onto hundreds of thousands of DVDs and Blu-Rays, packaged, and shipped out to distributing channels nationwide..

"Dark Sector fans have been waiting for this moment and we're pleased to say that after months of tweaking and polishing, the game is ready to entertain and wow gamers," said Peter Andrew, vice president of product development, D3PA. "Digital Extremes has poured their heart and soul into this game and it shows through compelling gameplay and absolutely stunning graphics."

Digital Extremes recently said that they spent an extra amount of time working on the PlayStation 3 version, to make sure that it didn't suffer the poor porting process that have plagued numerous other multiplatform games in the past. We shall soon find out if the folks at DE succeeded or not. Look for Dark Sector to launch on March 25th.

Meh, cheap is talk. I wanna see and hear what gamers have to say about the so called "extra" amount of time. Too many times have I been disappointed by horrible attempts by porting from the 360->PS3
