MotorStorm 2: Water And Monster Trucks

The original was one of the first solid PlayStation 3 exclusives, which is why most are eagerly anticipating the sequel. Thankfully, a couple new scans from the upcoming edition of OPM have started to make the Internet rounds, due to their posting in the PS3 Forums.

One of those MotorStorm 2 scans is on display here - check out the forum thread to see the other - and a few obvious gameplay enhancements are evident: first, it seems the environment will change significantly; the first took place almost entirely in a desert atmosphere, but as you can see, that's cool blue water in this scan! Are we going to find ourselves in more appealing tropical paradise this time around, or will the backdrops simply be more diverse overall? Secondly, it seems monster trucks will be included in MotorStorm 2, which is good news no matter how you slice it. We had ATVs, pick-ups, motorcycles and big ol' tow trucks in the original, but we didn't have any monster trucks. Well, bring 'em on, Sony!

We hope to hear more very soon about this highly anticipated sequel, and clearly, it seems we'll get plenty of info with the next OPM. We should see plenty in the way of gameplay details, and we're also hoping for a release target. Stay tuned for that...
