PS3 News: Condemned 2 PS3 Pushed Back A Week

Condemned 2 PS3 Pushed Back A Week

No, this isn't another example of a developer having trouble with the PlayStation 3 hardware. After Sony released their new development tools, and with most third-party creators starting to make multiplatform titles on the PS3 first, those days should be behind us. No, this sounds more like a very straightforward manufacturing problem.

Condemned 2: Bloodshot, the anticipated sequel featuring a truly creepy atmosphere and a compelling storyline (hopefully), is scheduled to ship to retailers today. Unfortunately, while the Xbox 360 version will go out, Sega has been forced to push back the PS3 version for one week. Evidently, they're facing "duplication issues" and won't be able to hit the scheduled ship date, so all you PS3 owners don't need to get down to the store until next week. Condemned 2 will boast one of those engaging psychological thriller plots, plus completely revamped gameplay to go along with the new online multiplayer. It's not Resident Evil 5, but it's still a very promising title.

The original was short, but remained a solid addition to the Xbox 360 launch lineup in 2005. This sequel for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 has been getting some good preview press, so be sure to check it out.
