Rockstar Planning To Revive Max Payne
By now, you're probably aware of the upcoming "Max Payne" movie starring Mark Walhberg, but you likely didn't know that Rockstar is supposedly planning another entry in the revolutionary action franchise.
According to dbtechno.com, Take-Two held a conference call with investors a couple days ago, and they made it clear once they're done with Grand Theft Auto IV, they'll be attacking a sequel to "another big franchise for release in 2009." Ever since this news broke, speculation has run rampant; some say it's another Manhunt while others believe it's a sequel to Bully. However, it makes more sense to assume that it's Max Payne, as Rockstar may want the game to launch right alongside the movie next year. Considering all the crossover between the film and game industry these days, it would be a logical move, yes?
Of course, none of this is confirmed just yet, and all we really know for sure is what Rockstar said in that conference call. They're working on a sequel to a certain franchise that most everyone is likely to recognize, but we can't go any further than that. But we really hope to see Max Payne once again, just because those games have always kicked ass. Bring it back, Rockstar!
