PS3 News: Killzone 2 Gearing Up For Public Beta?

Killzone 2 Gearing Up For Public Beta?

Yesterday, we learned that some users were being asked to integrate their official PlayStation forum accounts and their PSN accounts, apparently in preparation for a PlayStation Home public beta. Today, yet another public beta is in the news, and this one involves more account integration.

If you check out the official website for Killzone 2, you'll notice they're implementing some important changes. They have an announcement that reads- "We're joining forces with the PLAYSTATIONŽNetwork to offer you new and exciting functionality. To take full advantage of future upgrades to the website, and to preserve your current profile, please link your Killzone.com account to your PLAYSTATIONŽNetwork account." Then they move on to give you the pertinent instructions. Now, they don't say this is for a public beta, but we'd love to make that assumption; just look at the previous example of the PlayStation forum users and Home.

Remember, in contrast to Home, Guerilla has said several times they will most definitely be conducting a public beta. Furthermore, if you take into account the fact that they plan to release the game later this year (we hope), we'd figure that beta would have to happen soon. We'll keep a close eye on Guerilla and Killzone 2 to see what transpires over the next few weeks.
