Sshh...don't tell Sony that Gran Turismo 5: Prologue is just a demo. Not only is it loaded with 60+ cars, 6 tracks, and more prettiness than would seem possible, but you can also pre-order this bad boy. In fact, many people already have. Many, many people.

Evidently, Geekpulp recently spoke to Sony about the preliminary sales numbers for Prologue, and they first "expressed their surprise at the popularity of Warhawk as downloadable software." Therefore, they are expecting even bigger numbers from Prologue, and as it turns out, they're right to do so: pre-orders for SCEE (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe) regions have already surpassed 1 million! This officially makes the game Platinum even before it releases, and it's the first PS3 title to achieve that impressive goal. It's a bit ironic that it is a demo (technically), but so what? It's going to be fantastic!

Next up, we want to know how many people in North America have pre-ordered the game. SCEE covers a very large area, of course, but we US gamers love our GT; just ask the car enthusiasts. Hopefully, SCEA will deliver good news regarding pre-order numbers, and as a slight aside: can you imagine how big Gran Turismo 5 is going to be? Good Lord...
