PSM3 Issues New PlayStation 3 Rumors

Everybody loves a good rumor, which is why just about every magazine has a special little section expressly designed for starting - and perpetuating - rumors and gossip. The Insider column in the latest PSM3 magazine has offered up several new tidbits of information, and we'll run them down for ya.

First and foremost, it seems that In-game XMB for the PS3 is still a long ways off. This is a feature that PS3 owners have been waiting for since launch, and Sony recently confirmed it was on the way. However, rather than showing up this month or even next, the rumor says it may be several "months" away, which isn't what we wanted to hear. But chin up, because it seems another big announcement for PlayStation Home is right around the corner, and Ubisoft also plans to kick in with some major announcements in May (we're hoping for Assassins Creed 2). Furthermore, the PS3 should be getting a sequel to a "popular Xbox 360 title," and it will actually appear on the PS3 first. Could it be something like Mass Effect 2...?

Oh, and they also say that 2008 will be a "big year" for PlayStation Network updates, but that's not exactly a rumor. Based on the most recent evidence, we figure this much is obvious. But we'll keep an eye out for more info regarding those other rumors.
