PS3 News: Haze Forever PlayStation 3 Exclusive?

Haze Forever PlayStation 3 Exclusive?

Haze was just one of the many games playable at Play.Com Live in Wembley Stadium. We've heard that the game would boast a story that consists of over 1000 pages of script, but what we haven't been told yet is just how exclusive Haze is to the PS3. Free Radical Design are certainly no strangers to the PlayStation family, and perhaps, like Criterion, they feel more comfortable developing for Sony's platforms, as opposed to Microsoft.

While at the show, online pub Ripten asked a pair of Ubisoft representatives if Haze would hit the Xbox 360 eventually. Instead of getting the generic "at this moment, it's a PS3 exclusive" reply, Ripten got an answer that is much more interesting that. The Ubisoft reps made sure to specify that Haze is not a PlayStation 3 timed exclusive, but rather a bona fide PlayStation 3 exclusive that will not be appearing on any other consoles.

We're wondering if Sony had anything to do with this, as speculation in the past pointed to it being a timed-exclusive. Perhaps Sony is more aggressively pursuing exclusives, like they used to, and Haze is one of the first.

Somehow Haze never really felt like a 360 game. Always seemed more of a PS3 friendly title. I'd guess Ubisoft have that feeling too and see the benefits of PS3 exclusivity as outweighing the 360's small potential audience (if not many 360 owners would want it).
I think we will soon see a lot more exclusives for the PS3. Sony's console just has a more friendly scent to it from a games maker's POV in my opinion.

What I wonder is...did Sony have to finally shell out some money like M$ does to get exclusives, or something else?

I kinda already knew this, but a confirmation is always good. Yay for another Sony exclusive!

Well exclusive for now... that is if Sony paid them... otherwise who knows! I hope it stays PS3 exclusive and it delivers!
