Tales Of Vesperia Confirmed For PS3?
While the Xbox 360 is starting to make up some ground with its own set of Japanese RPGs (Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, etc.), it seems very possible that some of them will be arriving on the PlayStation 3 in the future. Take Tales of Vesperia, for example, which is supposed to be exclusive to the Xbox 360, but perhaps not for much longer...
The game is scheduled to arrive towards the end of this year, and RPG fans are anxiously anticipating its release. According to a recent interview with the team's Gouda Tsutomu and Higuchi Yoshito (and a very rough translation), Vesperia may be headed to the PS3 as well. When asked if there would be a PS3 version, this was the answer they gave...it's tough to read, but the part that's important is bolded:
"Higuchi's SHINFONIA, when the GameCube too specialized and because of the PlayStation 2 when transplanted to the lower frame rate, a considerable ingenuity. PlayStation 3 is a very sophisticated, so in that sense I think the same thing can be reproduced. However, it will be released, and what is not yet." (source-onAXIS)
As far as we're concerned, this means Tales of Vesperia will indeed come to the PS3, although it may not arrive until a bit after the Xbox 360 release. Let's hope this gets confirmed shortly, because the PS3 could certainly use another RPG.

Ya know, I kinda thought Bandai-Namco would've learned something from their earlier RPG, Eternal Sonata...

But the game was one of the better RPGs out on the PS2 with much to do, great gameplay, super music, interesting story, TONS of side quests... loved the game!
