Famitsu To Reveal Resident Evil 5 Info
Capcom has been staying quiet on any information regarding Resident Evil 5, but they will apparently break that silence by the end of the month.
Unfortunately, it's only coming to the Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu, in the form of a free DVD. Rumors of new coverage began earlier in the week thanks to several RE fan sites, and it was confirmed on Capcom's 25th anniversary website yesterday. The site is entirely in Japanese, but the translated announcement on the page reads, "Biohazard 5 Exclusive Footage & Interview." If you're not a follower of the legendary franchise, you should probably know that Resident Evil has always been Biohazard in Japan. The new Famitsu is scheduled to hit store shelves in the region on March 28, and we should expect to see some footage of that free DVD on the Internet at about that time. Or, at the very least, the information included on the DVD may be relayed in text form to the Internet surveyors, which is almost as good.
Hopefully, this DVD will feature a release date of some sort, just because we've been speculating about this for months. We'd also like to confirm that RE5 will have a simultaneous worldwide release on multiple platforms, which is what many are expecting. Yes, we have many questions, and here's hoping that little disc answers a few of them!
