UT3 PS3 v2.1 Mod Toolkit Available Now

When it comes to games that thrive on multiplayer, especially online multiplayer, patches and updates are common. These have been coming at a pretty rapid clip for Unreal Tournament III, and another is currently available...except it's more for the PlayStation 3 than it is for the game.

Early on, one of the most anticipated features of the game involved PS3 users importing community content and mods from their PCs to their PS3s. Epic Games has now released an updated version of the tools designed to "cook" your own content on the PC, then transfer your prepared dish over to Sony's console. It's the version 2.1 mod, and provided you have the v1.2 PC patch installed (don't get 'em mixed up), you're good to go. Just remember, this isn't a patch for UT3; it's made expressly for the purpose of generating new content on the PC and transporting it to the PS3 when you're finished.

This sounds like a very cool option, and as we said, UT3 fans have been eagerly awaiting this feature. If you're technically inclined and have a lively and creative imagination, you owe it to yourself to get these new tools and give 'em a whirl. If you want the full breakdown of how to proceed, visit the instructions at WorthPlaying.com. After that, it's all on you, champ.
