EGM Rumors: New Ratchet And Clank To Be Downloadable?
Well, we heard all about the OPM UK rumors, so now it's time to examine the rumors from the May issue of EGM. Quartermann has some interesting tidbits this month, although none are what you might call earth-shattering.
First up, everyone has been wondering what veteran developer Warren Spector would do after Disney purchased his studio. Well, it seems a few hints came on GFW Radio, and Spector is apparently working on a platformer that might compete with Nintendo's legendary Italian plumber. We have no information regarding targeted platforms or a release date, but we'll keep an eye on things to see what transpires. Secondly, you may recall Tecmo's announcement of a new Tecmo Bowl, and you may be wondering why you haven't heard anything about this project since. It's still in development, but unfortunately, it appears it will only come to the DS and Wii. That's not good news for PS3/360 owners.
Thirdly and lastly, there's a little something for all you fans of Ratchet and Clank: it shouldn't come as any surprise to learn that Insomniac is working on another entry in the long-running series, but it may arrive sooner than expected...and it might be downloadable, too. That's right, a downloadable R&C title on the PlayStation Network is a very real possibility! That's it for now; as always, we'll keep a sharp lookout to see if any of this gets officially confirmed or denied.
