"Technical Difficulties" Put Brakes On Euro Prologue Launch
If you live in Europe and love racing games, chances are, you were online at exactly the moment Gran Turismo 5: Prologue was scheduled to hit the PlayStation Store. Unfortunately, you probably waited for a while in vain, and as of now, have yet to buy and play the hotly anticipated title.
Well, according to Eurogamer, Sony has said they experienced "last minute technical difficulties" when attempting to update the Euro Store this week. You guys were supposed to see Prologue, the new Grand Theft Auto IV trailer, a playable demo of UEFA Euro 2008, and several other goodies, but it didn't happen. Here's Sony's official stance on the matter:
"Unfortunately due to some last minute technical difficulties, we were unable to publish the new content to the PS Store yesterday," Sony said. "We are working to resolve these issues and will let you know as soon as new content is posted."
This means you die-hard racing fans have two choices: 1. wait for Sony to fix it - should be today some time - and then download Prologue, or 2. head out, drive down to the nearest game store, and purchase the Blu-Ray version. Completely up to you. But if you want a look at that GTAIV trailer, no worries; you can watch it right here.
