ColorWare: Custom Design Your Own Guitar Hero Guitar

What you see pictured here is the original guitar for one of last year's best titles, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. It's not a bad-looking accessory, of course, but ColorWare is offering the ultimate option for all true fans of the game.

We're not talking about selecting special guitars for purchase; we're talking about full customization based on your own preferences. That's right, you can design your very own Guitar Hero III guitar for the PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii, and as an example, here's the start page for the creation of your personalized GHIII guitar. As you can see, you may work through a series of seven different sections of the accessory, adding your favorite colors as you go. You can fiddle around with 35 available colors until you find just the right combination, then you send along your order request, and you'll soon have your completely original GHIII guitar.

Prices range depending on how many colors you select - $10 for each extra color - and perhaps best of all, you have the option to either buy one new or send in your own for the cosmetic overhaul. The price starts at $99 for sending yours in for coloring, and at $198 for purchasing a brand new one. According to the site, you will receive your sweet new accessory in about three weeks time, so if you're a big Guitar Hero fan (and there are a lot of you), don't pass on this opportunity!
