MGS4 Soundtrack Hits Japan On May 28

Fans of the legendary Metal Gear Solid franchise are always looking for collectible items, or just about anything that will give them access to more MGS. Well, if you're one of those people, and you just so happen to live in Japan, you may want to visit Konamistyle.com.

According to this listing, Konami is now letting gamers pre-order the official soundtrack for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. It retails for about $30 and will become available on May 28, about two weeks before the game is slated to launch. Unfortunately, they don't tell us how many tracks will be included in this music collection, but hey...it's MGS. These titles always have fantastic tracks, and they're well worth listening to outside of the game. Soundtracks are a relatively common bonus item these days, and if you act now, you can insure your copy that undoubtedly boasts some of the finest video game music of the generation.

Sadly, we have no idea when or even if this soundtrack will come to North America. Those Japanese gamers love their MGS, even more so than US gamers, so it's not surprising to learn they get this soundtrack and a sweet MGS4 PS3 bundle (complete with a steel-colored console). But even so, we'd like to think Konami won't cut us out of the loop entirely when it comes to the extra stuff...
