Killzone: Wrath Of Hakha Coming To PSN?
Update: It has been confirmed: April Fool's and nothing more. Yeah, we figured as much.
April Fool's Warning: Nobody has come out to debunk this yet, but we imagine they probably will. The original source wrote it yesterday, and we think there are all kinds of holes in it...we're guessing bogus, but see what you think!
September is a ways off - and the month hasn't even been confirmed as an estimated release date for Killzone 2 - so maybe you'd like a taste of the series in May. According to Killzone Unit, Guerilla is preparing their very first PSN game entitled, Killzone: Wrath of Hakha.
Obviously, this entry will center on Hakha, and how he switched sides during the war. If you're at all familiar with Killzone: Liberation for the PSP, you'll probably recognize the gameplay mechanic on tap for Wrath of Hakha; it will use a "modified version" of Liberation's gameplay system. However, because the PS3 affords a bit more power, we'll be able to have up to 20 Helghast enemies on the screen at once, without any slowdown (we assume). Supposedly, Guerilla is putting the finishing touches on the online co-op elements, which is available for any of the game's five chapters. Development is scheduled to conclude within the next couple of weeks, and Wrath of Hakha should hit the PlayStation Store in mid-May.
Furthermore, we hear the game will support downloadable content; specifically, three more chapters that act as a prelude to the introductory events of Killzone 2. Lastly, if you can complete the game before Killzone 2 releases later this year, you will be able to use Hakha during online play. Sounds like one heck of a PSN title, doesn't it?
