MGO Sneaking Mission Details Revealed
If you were a fan of the Sneaking Mission mode in Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, you'll be happy to know it will be making a triumphant return in the upcoming Metal Gear Online. It launches alongside Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on June 12, and we just found out that Kojima Productions is implementing some big changes for the Sneaking Missions this time around.
According to Ripten, Ryan Payton talked more about MGO in the latest Kojima Productions Podcast, and it seems they'll be attempting to fix several issues that plagued this mode in MGS3. There was a significant lack of balance, for one, and many of the matches ended up with Snake sprinting to the goal when the opposing team unraveled. In MGO, Snake's goal changes entirely: rather than being forced to reach a set location alive, he'll have to collect a certain number of dog tags. He will attempt to nab the correct number of tags before his foes can kill him three times. Two teams will go at it, and if Snake isn't taken down, the team that dealt the most damage will emerge victorious.
Obviously, Snake will have plenty of helpful gadgets at his disposal, including the always handy Octocam. MGO will also boast online matchmaking, and even more content will be on the way further on down the road. Payton spoke about future expansion packs that will boast new game modes, new weapons, new characters and even new levels. Essentially, if you're a MGS fan, there's absolutely no way on earth you can miss out on MGO. The beta starts soon, too, so try to secure your position by pre-ordering MGS4 now!
