Kojima Hints At Zone Of The Enders PS3

Despite anything you may have heard, Hideo Kojima is holding to his vow that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots represents the final end for Snake and Co. It is the last installment in the critically acclaimed series, and that's that. However, this doesn't mean he can't change his mind in the future, and it could also indicate the return of another highly valued series...

Most action aficionados remember the likes of Zone of the Enders on the PS2 with much satisfaction, especially if we're talking about The 2nd Runner. The latter was fast, furious and one of the best action experiences of the last generation, and many fans were disappointed to learn that no ZoE3 was in the works. Well, perhaps that was because Konami was putting a huge amount of effort into MGS4, because Kojima says there is the possibility that another ZoE entry could arrive in the new generation! That, or he may want to remake ZoE2 for the PS3, according to a quote he gave to IGN during a recent interview:

"Finally, it's the end of Snake, so I'd really want to start something really fresh and new when I create the game for the next one. However, maybe the sequel to ZOE, or a remake of Snatcher, for instance, if I just participate as a producer, yeah, that could be possible."

The translation is a little rough, but you get the idea. Zone of the Enders for the PS3 - whether it's a remake or an all-new title - could become a reality very soon, and if it does, it will be a truly happy day for action and sci-gamer fans. Cross your fingers!

I'm hoping for a remake of the 2nd Runner.
I loved the first one but couldn't find a copy of the second one anywhere. Have been planning to buy it on ebay (for the high cost of a rare game), but a PS3 remake would be much better.

ZOE2 was insanity on a disc. Immensely better than the first. One of the best PS2 action games.

Absolutely loved the first two ZOE games. Funny story actually: when I finally got my hands on a PS2 in 2001, there weren't any PS2 games that interested me in the time except for the original ZOE. The reason? The much-hyped MGS2 demo that came with it of course! I think it was about 2-3 months of waiting before I bought my first PS2 game...I did grow to like it, and snapped up the second one as soon as it came out

I think its a great story, and the anime was also good. "Z.O.E. Doloris,i" u can pick it up on amazon. I've already heard this news and was very excited on them continuing the story. 2nd runner was more than just special. One magazine said that it is the anime game that all others should strive to be. I would have to agree.
