First Review Of GTAIV Goes Up, Gets Pulled

While the reviewer in question claims Rockstar didn't have anything to do with it, we're inclined to believe otherwise. CGReviews.com initially ran the world's first review of Grand Theft Auto IV, but as you can see, that review is now gone and a retraction has been posted.

Thing is, we're pretty certain there's an embargo on the game and any review posted now would definitely be in violation of that. Maybe Rockstar didn't contact this guy and he figured this out on his own, or maybe Rockstar really did throw down the gauntlet...either way, the review is now gone. Well, we've got some eagle-eyed members in our forum, and they went and snagged it before the review had to be removed. Wanna see? You may go check our forums for it; we're not linking to it because Rockstar may not like that... We'll be contacting Rockstar to see if they have an official reply to this, and if we have to make any adjustments, but we imagine everything will be fine. As you can see, it was a great review, and while the retraction says a new review will be written, we like seeing this early feedback.

We expect to have our review of GTAIV up ASAP, but we promise you it won't go live until Rockstar lets it go live. We like to play by the rules here at PSXE, no matter how badly we might want the illustrious title of the "first site to review the biggest game of the year."
