European/US MGS4 Box Art Revealed?

What you're seeing here is the rumored box art for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, and we have to say, we're a fan of either design. This popped up over at Joystiq; the left one showed up on the US Amazon.com site, while the one on the right was seen on the German Amazon site. Which do you prefer? We kinda like the US version, provided that gets confirmed by Konami.

Earlier today, the European box art was supposedly confirmed by a press agency speaking to Euro gaming site PS3-Talk.de. But it wasn't long after this that Konami stepped up to actually confirm the box art, so that region knows what's what. That box art on the right is definitely going to be what you'll see on store shelves come June, so either embrace it or make your peace with it. We still don't believe the box art is capable of significantly affecting the sales of a game, but then again, it might matter to all those hardcore fans out there.

We're hoping to get a confirmation from Konami concerning the US box art, which is the one we prefer. Snake is looking totally bad-ass on the cover there, and we can see how it will make for a fine addition to our library. The game is going to rock, anyway, but hey...cosmetic appeal is a bonus, yes?
