Next Guitar Hero III DLC: Def Leppard
Activision certainly raked in some cash with Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, and they're gonna bring in even more with Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and Guitar Hero IV, both slated to release in 2008. Furthermore, we can now expect three additional songs for GHIII by '80s rock legend, Def Leppard.
According to GameSpot, the band's label revealed that a three-song pack featuring "Rock of Ages," "Photograph," and "Nine Lives" will become available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace on April 24 and on the PlayStation Store on May 8. At first, it was believed "Rock of Ages," "Photograph," and "Animal" would show up in Guitar Hero IV, but as it turns out, the first two songs and "Nine Lives" are actually being prepped for GHIII. They'll be here soon to download. As for "Animal," a song that went unmentioned in the announcement, it's possible we could see it in the upcoming GHIV. The band's publicist has said Def Leppard will be the very first band "to have released a new single ahead of its traditional launch through a video game."
The downloadable pack has been confirmed, though, so make sure to take advantage, Guitar Hero owners. We'll let you know as soon as Activision nails down a concrete release date for Guitar Hero IV, and we'll be interested to see how many songs will be featured in the next entry...

The were rock Gods then, my friend, and they're still touring to sellout crowds now. Pyromania sold 6 million copies in about 8 months time back then, and it's STILL selling now. Just because the world of music is so completely devoid of talent or rhythm these days ('cough' rap 'cough'), that doesn't mean we have to ignore decent music.

As for 8 million copies of pyromania being sold, proof Burke was right, democracy is a bad idea. lol

As for this update, 3 songs by a band no one likes? Are these guys kidding us here? Where are the monster tracks? Where are the classics? Where are the guitar shredding masterpieces that we consumers have been begging for for an age?
